RENAL TRUCK
We have made this story to show the journey through country that this special truck will make. The story represents the different country across the APY Lands and around each community. We made this together to represent all the communities and all the art centres in the APY Lands. The image shows some of the puli (mountains) kapi tjukurla (rock holes), punu (trees), birds and animals that are found in our paintings. When we paint we are thinking about country. This special truck will allow Anangu and other Aboriginal people who are on dialysis to visit their country and their families. As Anangu, our spirits are connected to our land, when we are far away from our country it is bad for our spirits, and hard to stay healthy and strong. This truck is so important for Anangu. It will be used until we find a way for renal treatment closer to our home lands.

- We are strong in our health when we are standing on our country surrounded by our family.
